Swedish Centre of Wind Music
We gather national forces within wind music
Östgötamusiken has a regional mission to reach children, young people, and the elderly throughout the region, offering a wide range of music at a high professional level performed by our four ensembles. In addition, we work on several projects in the region and serve as a strong collaborator for freelancers, youth orchestras, chamber music societies, and projects aimed at the broader music scene in Östergötland, including pop, rock, and other genres.
The musicians at Östgötamusiken play in the Nordic Wind Ensemble as well as in one of our three permanent ensembles: Östgöta Brass Quintet, Crusell Quintet, and Östgötabandet.
We aim to continuously explore new avenues, concert formats, and collaborations to develop our artistic expression – all in order to create community and experiences through music for everyone in the region.
