Nordic Wind Ensemble

The Nordic Wind Ensemble (Swedish name Östgöta Blåsarsymfoniker), Östergötland's own wind orchestra with roots dating back to the 16th century. Throughout generations, the orchestra has preserved and evolved its heritage, from military music with renowned figures such as Bernhard Crusell and Frans Sjöberg to more recent regional music. The Nordic Wind Ensemble has a broad popular base due to its versatile and cross-genre repertoire.

The orchestra performs in the Crusell Series, featuring six concerts annually at Crusellhallen in Linköping, collaborating with leading international and Swedish soloists and conductors. They give numerous public concerts each year, including the Grenadier Concert and guest performances in Östergötland and nationally.

Typically, the repertoire played is for a smaller wind ensemble comprising 22–25 musicians. The orchestra comprises the following instruments: flute, oboe, two clarinets, bassoon, two saxophones, two French horns, three trumpets, two trombones, tuba, double bass, and percussion.

Crusell Quintet

The Crusell Quintet (Swedish name Crusellkvintetten) is one of Sweden's few professional woodwind quintets. The quintet actively strives to engage its audience with new theatrical expressions and repertoire, including works by female composers. Dance, theater, and humor are combined with high-quality classical music. The quintet consists of flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn.

Östgöta Brass Quintet

The Östgöta Brass Quintet (Swedish name Östgöta Brasskvintett) is one of Sweden's few professional brass quintets that, with great versatility, combines drama, education, and high artistic achievement. They frequently collaborate with singers, instrumentalists, actors, and choirs. The quintet comprises two trumpets, French horn, trombone, and tuba.

Östgötabandet

Östgötabandet is a jazz septet composed of two woodwind players, trumpet, trombone, piano, bass, and drums. Their repertoire consists of new pieces specially written for them, original compositions and arrangements, as well as specially composed music by guest jazz musicians. In addition to concerts organized by Östgötamusiken, they regularly perform at the county's jazz clubs and make guest appearances throughout the country.
